Tournament Takes Day 3: Wisconsin, North Dakota are headed to Frozen Four

WORCESTER, Massachusetts — It was a tale of two games today.

The first one was a nail-biter, featuring lead changes, close calls at both ends, a late comeback, and overtime heroics. The other was a blowout midway through the first period as the winning team cruised to its second straight shutout win.

By hook or by crook, all it took was winning on Saturday for No. 12 Wisconsin and No. 2 North Dakota to get to the Frozen Four. They'll play each other on April 9, the first meeting between the old WCHA foes since October 2023, and the first in the NCAA tournament since 2014. They have never met in the Frozen Four, so that's fun.
