Elite Prospects' 2026 top 25 under-23 NHL-affiliated goalies ranking

For the first time, Elite Prospects is excited to debut the midseason under-23 NHL-affiliated goalie rankings!

Much like the Top 100 under-23 skaters article, which was released yesterday, the philosophy remains the same.

First, we consider upside and anticipated role in their prime; so goalies down depth charts in clogged systems will be ranked less favourably than those given the keys to the castle.

Then we consider how close that goaltender is to achieving that upside, valuing players already in the NHL as well as those on the cusp of making it, first and foremost, before considering projects.

All in all, we look at everything from athletic potential, play reading and technical background to statistical growth, trends and environment.

To keep things simple, the criteria are this: Born Septemb
